1. General conditions:
The task was assigned by Dimitar Tsotsorkov, Lachezar Tsotsorkov and Milcho Josifov.
The task was carried out by Sole Trader “IVIS – Project & Design” Ltd.
The aim of the task is to develop a park structure decision of a yard in the region of Panagurski Koloni. The project has gone through a preliminary dendrological design and is approved.
2. Analysis of the current situation:
The plot is about 1130,74 square meters, including: - 342 square meters built up area; - 788,74 square meters yard. The terrain is terraced. The ownership is private.
Existing vegetation: :
From the existing vegetation types predominant are several deciduous trees and one white pine tree. The remaining vegetation is mostly frutescent with bad esthetical quality and is going to be removed.
3. Design decision:
The design offers the formation of two resting spots: - a spot with an arbour and water cascade; - a spot with a barbecue and a dry rock spot (rock-garden) a combination of stones with different perennials.
In different places are envisaged to be placed ceramic vessels with cascading pelargonium and petunia. The arbour is arranged with a climbing bush with beautiful flowers. Such a bush is the Lonicera tell maniana. For exalting the effect of the ornamental group, as well as in the place for rest are envisaged low garden lights.
Pavement:
For the formation of the two rest spots are used the following pavements: - decorative concrete paving-stones 10/10/10 in grey colour; - natural slabstones in red brick colour for forming a path with the stones; - felt; - concrete slabs 20/10 with grass gaps – for the approach to the garage (this pavement is enforced).
Dendrology:
The newly designed composition has taken into consideration the height above sea level at which the site is located, i.e. above 1000 m.
Besides the existing pine tree are envisaged to be planted several pine trees such as the pine spruce, Abeis cocolor and silver spruce (Picea excelsa). The deciduous tree will remain. The fence is formed with a hedgerow from Ligustrum vulgare and from blooming deciduous bushes in different colours and blooming at different time of the year for receiving a year-round effect. Such are the Forsythia intermedia, which blossoms in early spring; the Vanhouttei, Spiraea japonica, Kerria japonica, Philadelphus coronarius and the ordinary lilac shrub. Envisaged are also to be planted evergreen deciduous types such as Euonymus latifolia, the red barberry (Berberis vulgaris), Vinca, Cotoneaster (for the formation of the supporting walls), etc. Used are the ornamental forms of the western Thuja, the round forms of the “Rheingold” and “Danica” and the pyramidal form of the “Smaragd”, the silver form of the falling juniper, as well as the silver pyramidal form of the Chamaecytisus hirsutus.
